For the first-ever arts exchange between Michigan and Shiga prefecture, Japan, I was tasked with establishing and executing full marketing materials.
I designed a logo that showcased a native Japanese bonsai tree and the white pine of Michigan, joining them over the water element that served as the heart of the international art alliance.
The full Art from the Lakes catalog was designed to be entirely bilingual, with letters included and translated from governors of both regions. Artist profiles used an earthy and meditative color palette that complimented and highlighted their works of art throughout the 24-page catalog. A poster, postcard and welcome packet were also developed as international collateral pieces.
